Boeing Classic pro golf tourney comes home to Snoqualmie for eighth year

The Boeing Classic PGA Champions Tour will be in Snoqualmie ? the Home of the Boeing Classic ? for the eighth year beginning August 20. More than 80 players will participate this year including last year?s champion Mark Calcavecchia.

This event is televised nationally and provides the opportunity for Snoqualmie to show off its scenic beauty and recreational activities.

The TPC Snoqualmie Ridge will host thousands of golf enthusiasts over the week-long event that will include the Seahawks Rumble at the Ridge, the Korean Air Pro-Am, the Youth Golf Clinic, Grapes on the Green, Kids Day, and Military Appreciation Day.

The Boeing Jet Flyover will kick off Round 1 on Friday, August 24 at 11:20 a.m.

Encompass, Snoqualmie Valley?s premier children?s and family support organization, will play a big part in this year?s tournament by bringing children to the Youth Golf Clinic and Adaptive Golf Clinic on August 21 and operating a booth in the Expo Village on August 24-26. Children attending the free Youth Clinic will get first-hand golf tips from Masters Champion Sandy Lyle. The event is Tuesday, August 21 from noon to 1:00 p.m. Golf clubs are not needed. There is no age limit. Youths can attend as a group, but should be chaperoned. Parking is $5 in the spectator lot.
