(AP) ? Thousands of fans filled a Boston street to watch the band Aerosmith play a concert in front of the building where they once lived.

People hung out windows, crowded fire escapes and stood on roofs on Commonwealth Avenue to watch a show Monday meant to encourage voting and promote the band's new album, which premiers Tuesday on Election Day.

The band played songs, including "Walk this Way," "Sweet Emotion" and a tune from their new album, "Live from Another Dimension."

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was among the people attending.

Boston University student Becca Emmetts, who lives in Aerosmith's former building, said she sent a friend to her physics class with this message explaining her tardiness: "Aerosmith was playing on my front stoop."

Amanda Brown stuns with 'Dream On' on 'Voice'

    By Jessica Hopper, Rolling Stone

    Tyler Golden / NBC

Amanda Brown performs Monday night on "The Voice."

The Season Three set-up for live elimination rounds on "The Voice"?means that viewers (or "America," as Carson Daly euphemistically says) vote on who makes the top eight, with judges each picking one contestant out of America's discard pile, Go Fish-style.

You could say the stakes were very high Monday night, but they lowered considerably after the final performance of the night because, uh, how to put this delicately:?Amanda Brown?has this thing locked down.?Trevin Hunte?should just pack his knives and go home. That quiet thud you heard across the nation as she strutted across the stage in her leather pants and heels was 12 million jaws hitting the floor as Brown hit the high-note screams of Aerosmith's "Dream On."

More from Rolling Stone: Worst movies of October

There's another handful of shows until the finals but they could just call it now and spare the rest of the contestants their awkward interactions with?Christina Milian?in the Sprint Lounge. Right after Brown's performance, they showed a clip of the evening's highlights, and everyone else paled in comparison, like, "Oh. Yeah. Those guys. Hmm." That heartfelt Goo Goo Dolls song ain't gonna cut it now,?Bryan Keith.?

Power rankings! Only Team Adam and Team Blake performed last night.

More from Rolling Stone: 100 greatest Beatles songs

    Coach: Adam Levine
    Rank: #1
He's got Amanda, which is kind of the end of that story. It seems likely that "America" might vote Bryan Keith to the next round, despite his snapping problem. For a young man he gesticulates like he's doing his best Dean Martin, a kind of Vegas-ham shtick that works against his whole sensitacho thing. Nevertheless, the crowd wouldn't stop cheering after he surprised by smoldering his way through "Iris."?Melanie Martinez?and her supersized bow seem like they will be a candidate for Adam's "save," despite her underwhelming Betty Boop-esque take on Ray Charles' "Hit the Road, Jack." She should just do "The Good Ship Lollipop" and get it over with.

    Coach: Blake Shelton
    Rank: #2
Michaela Page?seems likely to be the Team Blake finalist since her voice is flawless and she has a kicky Hot Topic good-girl-in-bad-girl's clothing vibe to her. She made Neon Trees' "Everybody Talks" her own, in the parlance of the show. She is very mannered, posey and practiced, which sometimes gives her a mechanical-cute/"Small Wonder" vibe. She's the big talent on her team, though Blake seems to be real partial to country gal?Liz Davis, who, done up like a Mandrell sister, sold "Independence Day" so well that?Cee Lo?said it made him feel especially patriotic.?Cassadee Pope?should join a Cranberries tribute band upon elimination; sure, it's a lateral move, but it's a perfect use for her talents.?

More from Rolling Stone: Borgore and Miley Cyrus behind the scenes

Best example of what Dracula might wear to the prom:?Cee Lo Green's white satin blouse with pearl broach.?

Best throwback song choice of the night:?Adam picking Lisa Stansfield's 1989 iconic club hit "All Around the World." Here's to hoping he follows it up with Soho's "Hippy Chick" next week. Speaking of, why hasn't anyone done the Smiths "How Soon Is Now?" yet?

Dark horse everyone seems to be underestimating: Julio Cesar Castillo, who did Mariachi classic "El Rey" as traditional as it can be done and got a standing ovation for it. One imagines every proud abuela in the country speed dialing in votes for him the second he finished. America is in charge now, and it's best not to underestimate the mariachi loyalists.

Which performance did you think was the best on Monday night? Tell us your pick on our Facebook page!

Chris Berman Interviews With Obama, Romney Air During 'Monday Night Football' VIDEO)

If President Obama finds himself back.. back.. back.. back in the White House for another four years then perhaps he will have Chris Berman to thank.

    Or not.

In a move quite unlikely to alter the outcome of the 2012 election, the ESPN personality who has regaled and/or angered you during the annual Home Run Derby and with rarely topical NFL player nicknames conducted 11th-hour interviews with Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. The brief, pre-recorded Q&As were broadcast during halftime of "Monday Night Football." In 2008, Berman interviewed Obama and John McCain.

As the incumbent, Obama's answers were broadcast first this time around. After jokingly taking credit for delivering a college football playoff, Obama touted the defense of the Chicago Bears. For his part, Romney proclaimed his loyalty to the New England sports teams (and took credit for the pair of Patriots' Super Bowl trophies during his tenure). He also cited performance-enhancing drugs as the most troubling issue in sports.

Well? College football playoffs? Winter Olympics? Which gets your vote? Who won over "Monday Night Football" viewers?

The only thing clear from the Twitter reactions is that Berman won't be getting many write-in votes on election day.

Jack McBrayer prepares for life post-'30 Rock'

LOS ANGELES (AP) ? Jack McBrayer can see the end of "30 Rock" just up ahead.

The Emmy-nominated actor best known as Kenneth the Page from the Emmy-winning show says the mood is getting sad on set as the final days of filming near.

"Toward the end it's going to start getting emotional," he said, "and I'm going to start stealing stuff right and left."

Among the items he hopes to acquire? His blue NBC page uniform: "It's pretty much just formed to my own skin like body paint at this point."

A star of the weekend's top film "Wreck-It Ralph," McBrayer said he's eager to see what roles the future might hold.

"I know how good I got it right now, so on the one hand, I'm like if it ain't broke, don't fix it," he said. "But then you do always wonder, like, what if I would be the best serial killer in the world or something? So I'm open for anything. Like I said, old boy just wants to work."

Finding Lauren - Our India Adoption Story: One Happy Mom

So no doubt about it - we've had our fair share of challenging moments during this transition bring Lauren Anjali into our family.? At times Joshua has struggled, I've struggled, and I think even Brad has struggled.... we know our little one has also struggled.? The hardest thing at times has been when anyone leaves the house she cries.? But it seems like we might be making some good progress in this thing called SECURE attachment.

Today - a local church, where we are part of an adoption support group -?held an orphan Sunday event - basically booths set up and interested families can come and ask any questions about adoption, foster care, orphan care.? I volunteered to serve at the support group table.? So right after church, we all came home, I grabbed a quick sandwich and made my way to this event.

Lauren Anjali fell asleep in the van on the way home from church.? Brad carried her in and put her on the couch where she is used to napping.? I took off for the adoption event.? Brad would have the kids for at least three hours.? When I got home, Brad, Joshua and Lauren were all at my mom's house.? She has a dog - Papillion named Riley -- Lauren LOVES him.? I worked on laundry until they came home.... he ended up having them for about 5 hours!

Joshua ran into the house and said, "we are home, guess what when she woke up from her nap she didn't cry!"? I was like -- "that's great".? Then Brad came in and Lauren came in too -- she ran to me gave me a quick hug and then tackled Joshua who was laying on the floor right in front of me in the family room.? He laughed, she laughed ... it was all good.? So I said to Joshua, "so, do you think you like your sister now? remember when she first came home - you weren't so sure about her when she bugged you, got into your stuff, etc."... his response?made this mom - one happy mom!!? He said, "when she first came home I liked her - then the jar went a little empty -- but now it's back full again".... that is his way of saying, "yep, I like her"... I?love the heart of this little boy who?has always been a bit quiet,?sometimes hesitant to really share his feelings (we've worked hard on that one)... but now, as I see how happy he is when?he's playing with her -- AKA rough housing, sword fights, even sometimes legos.... it makes me so very happy.

So today - I?got THREE hours of adult time talking about adoption topics, which I love - with great Christian families -?all in various stages of the process... or still considering it.... Brad had the kids played with them and then visited my mom for more fun times.... I got some laundry done in a quiet house for another 1 1/2 hours!?... and now Brad's off to his small group -- and all is well at home.? When Brad left, Lauren gave him her typical?goodbye, "bye ki-ee" -- have no idea what this means - at first I thought she believed everyone was named?"Kelly" -- but it's her goodbye -- and tonight she said it to?Brad with confidence, AND security that he would be back....and there were no tears.? This little one is making it....and she has a brother that is continuing to love her more and more? :)?

(AP) ? Mourners have been leaving flowers, cards and other mementos at a makeshift memorial near the site of a police helicopter crash that killed two Atlanta officers who were searching for a runaway boy.

The chopper struck a power pole, them plummeted to the ground and exploded, killing both officers on board late Saturday night, authorities said. No one on the ground was hurt.

A trust fund has been established for the families of the officers, 48-year-old pilot Richard J. Halford and 40-year-old tactical flight officer Shawn A. Smiley. Wells Fargo bank officials say they will start taking donations at noon Monday for the trust funds.

The 9-year-old boy was found wandering on a city street a couple of hours after the crash, Atlanta police spokesman Officer John Chafee said Sunday. He ran away after being scolded by his mother.

"All I could do was cry because somebody lost their life," the boy's mother, Amire Shakir-Fulford, told Atlanta station WSB-TV. "I just want to tell their families I'm so sorry."

Shakir-Fulford said she feels responsible for the officers' deaths.

"My child can come home," she added. "They can't go home and hug their children, their wives, their relatives, nobody."

A team from the National Transportation Safety Board was expected to be in Atlanta on Monday to investigate the cause of the crash.

The NTSB investigators were going over maintenance records and had talked to witnesses.

"They saw the aircraft, they heard the aircraft, and then they saw a flash of light when it hit the pole and then it crashed into the roadway," investigator Ralph Hicks said.

The wreckage of the OH-6A helicopter has already been moved as investigators worked to piece together what happened, said Eric M. Weiss, a spokesman with the National Transportation Safety Board.

Part of the helicopter's landing gear had to be removed from the cables with the help of the power company.

The NTSB investigators were going over maintenance records and had talked to witnesses.

Atlanta Police Chief George Turner praised the two officers as public servants who died honorably in the search for the missing boy. Both men were fathers. Smiley had three children under the age of 10.

"Every day, they provided air support for our officers, assisting in major events and searches for suspects and missing persons," Turner said in a statement. "Their value to our citizens and our officers on the street is incalculable."
